This Privacy Policy describes how Affluent Coaching, operating under the trade name Freelanpreneur ("Company", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit www.freelanpreneur.in ("Website") or use any of our products or services ("Services").

This Policy is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Registration details — first name, email address, WhatsApp/phone number, and designation, collected when you register for our free training or any paid Service.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment gateway provider. We do not store your card or banking details on our servers.
  • Correspondence — messages, support requests, and any other content you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, and similar analytics, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
  • Device data — IP address, device type, browser, operating system.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, deliver, and improve the Website and Services.
  • Register you for free trainings and notify you about session timings.
  • Process payments and manage your enrolment in paid Services.
  • Send transactional emails and updates about content you have signed up for.
  • Send marketing communications about our offers — only where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Respond to your queries and provide customer support.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and our legal obligations under Indian law.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers we engage to operate the Services, including but not limited to:
    • WebinarKit — for hosting and delivering training webinars (collects registration details).
    • Payment gateways — for processing payments.
    • Email service providers — for transactional and marketing emails.
    • Cloud hosting and analytics providers.
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • Successors in the event of a business transfer, merger, or acquisition. We will notify you of any such change.

All processors are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes for which we share it.

5. Cookies & tracking

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure performance, and improve user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features of the Website may not function correctly without them.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Webinar registration data — retained for as long as the relevant webinar campaign is active and for up to 24 months thereafter for marketing follow-up, unless you opt out.
  • Programme participant data — retained for the duration of your enrolment plus 7 years for tax, audit, and legal compliance.
  • Marketing subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to our retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for processing where processing is based on consent.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications.
  • Lodge a grievance with our grievance officer (see Section 11) or with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and contractual safeguards with our processors. No internet transmission or storage system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may be located outside India. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, in line with applicable Indian law.

10. Children

The Services are not directed at minors under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.
